A candidate must obtain a quota of the total number of votes to win a seat. The formula for establishing the quota is calculated on the number of formal votes cast and the number of vacancies to be filled. The Unley Civic Centre is located at 181 Unley Road, Unley. The results of the election will be provisionally declared as soon as they become available. Formal declaration will occur after this. We formed new Council committees to invite leading strategic thinkers to collaborate with Council on infrastructure, cultural, audit, governance and economic development directions for a better city. Together we achieved recognition by the W.H.O. as Australia’s first and only age- friendly city. Unley is a community of possibilities and I commit to create and maintain partnerships to gain better outcomes for all. I commit to renewing Unley, King William and Goodwood Roads, facilitating the implementation of energy saving street lighting and improving our t wo major spor ts precinct s. I also want to enhance Unley culturally by at tracting more family friendly events such as SALA and French Christmas Market s. W ith a shared vision, we can realise our goal: for Unley to be the premier inner metropolitan council, a lighthouse for progressive cosmopolitan living.
